Stylish, Innovative Wrist Pouches (Showstoppers) by Going Dancing Ltd.

Tired of lugging around a bag to hold her essentials on a day out or night on the town, Australian designer Stacey Cole of Going Dancing Ltd. created a fashion first for wallets and purses called the Showstopper – an accessory that puts personal safety first without compromising style.

Secure arm pouches, travel wallets and belt purses were not statements Stacey wished to make and sticking valueables in her boyfriend’s pocket was never a safe solution either, so she gave security a complete makeover and created these fun, funky and chic wrist pouches for all sorts of occasions.  It also gives gadget users a new option as the Showstopper holds a wide variety of mobile phones, smart phones, and blackberries.

We received three Showstoppers – the Classic Gold Leopard Print, the Modern Deep Burgundy Ultra Shine, and the Men’s Black Sponge.  Retailing for AUD $49.95 each, these babies are exclusively available at Going Dancing’s online store.  Each comes with silver or gold buckles and zips – your choice.  It can be worn on the left or right wrist and comes with an adjustable strap.  Introduced barely over a month ago, tons more selections have been added since we received ours – gorgeous new patterns, we should have waited!  No, I absolutely love my 3 new showstoppers and so do the girls who have seen me wearing them.

The Men’s Black, I actually use for working out, walking or biking around.  It’s perfect in that it fits my blackberry, my ID, key - total hands-free operation.  I don’t even know how I got around before this handy little thing.  Shudder to think of using a fanny pack for these outings – eeek!

The Deep Burgundy Ultra Shine, I use on a day out.  I spent half a day roaming around Santa Monica (fab place by the way) over the weekend with a bunch of friends and my Showstopper was super handy.  I left my big bag in the car and just carried my phone, key, ID, and credit card as I was roaming around.  It was great, my shoulders didn’t get sore from carrying around a big bag.  If there’s anything I would improve upon on this style and the Men’s one, it would be to create a shorter strap for those with small wrists.  Both are a bit loose on mine at the shortest setting, but I don’t mind.

The Classic Gold Leopard Print is the tiny version – big enough to carry an ID, credit card, key, lipstick.  Not big enough for a blackberry though, but if you have an itty bitty phone, it’ll probably fit.  It’s more for clubbing when you don’t want to carry even a clutch purse around and party away without having to worry about remembering where you left your purse as it will be attached to your wrist!

Bottom line, I’m so glad I got to review these darling purses.  Having 3 different ones for a variety of occasions, to mix and match, is a definite must and I am thrilled to have been one of the first to have these babies.  As mentioned earlier, more selections have been added since we received ours.  The Modern Silver Aniseed is particularly to-die-for, I’d check that out and grab while you can.  Enjoy!
