Daisy Hoops Earrings by A Little Peace

A marketing graduate of Columbia College and Columbia Business School, Teresa Saputo developed creative and innovative marketing platforms for premium brands such as Evian, Illy, and Tennis Magazine for over fifteen years.  Combining her professional experience with her passion for colored gems and jewelry, A Little Peace was born.  Having trained at the Jewelry Arts Institute, the Bianca Lopez Studio of Jewelry Art & Design, and the JCC on the Upper West Side in NYC, Teresa was well poised to launch her own jewelry collection – handcrafted and designed with a little peace in mind and how we all go after that little peace in our lives.

Educated at public schools in NYC, Teresa took an interest in the local public schools she in turn enrolled her children in.  Impressed with the diversity of the public school community and its ability to serve a broad spectrum of the population, she volunteered her time and came to realize the importance of private dollars in supporting the betterment of public education in general.  Putting her money where her mouth is, Teresa came to a decision to use her jewelry line to further support public education initiatives by donating a portion of the line’s net proceeds to schools in and around her community.

Currently, 10% of her net proceeds go to The Fund for Public Schools in NYC and to her local school West Patent Elementary School.  Recently, she launched a more comprehensive program wherein all public schools can participate in receiving a portion of her line’s net proceeds.  Participating schools are assigned a code.  All orders that use that code when ordering from her online store will generate dollars for that school’s parent organization – a whopping 40% of net proceeds.  As in her tag line, “It is only when we are calm in our hearts that we are able to spread a little peace ourselves”.  So true and as in this review, we need to spread a little word on what we’re reviewing here.

We received the Daisy Hoops Earrings from the line’s Earring Collection.  It is made of 10k matte gold, handcrafted small hoops.  Hanging from the hoops is a flower charm featuring a .2 diamond at its center.  It retails for $250.  It is also available in sterling silver with pink sapphires for $95.

Good things do come in small packages as this dainty pair of earrings came packaged in the cutest jewelry box wrapped around by a tiny little bow.

It’s got to be the daintiest pair of earrings I have ever reviewed, so cute!  It’s like the little engine that can, small in size but speaks volumes.  It’s an awesome, basic, chic, go-to, gold pair of earrings.  The classic styling is elegant, very feminine, very soft and understatedly beautiful.

It’s also quite versatile.  The daisy flower charm is removable so the hoops can be worn by themselves.  Of course, it so happens that I have 2 other pairs of gold hoops – a medium one and a large one.  All of a sudden, I have 4 pairs of earrings.  I just love the different combinations.  The larger hoops in particular work really well with the charm.  They give a different flavor, a bit more bold – more presence, more drama.  We can all use a little drama sometimes… so long it comes with a little bit of peace especially if that peace comes from giving back.  This jewelry line sure does, so check it out.
