Faceted White Agate Necklace, White Agate Wrap Bracelet, Turquoise Multi Chain Earring by MINU Jewels

A year ago almost to the day, we first introduced you to a line of jewels called MINU Jewels.  Since then, this family-run company has reached all corners of the globe – from the US, to Dubai, Japan, Portugal, Guam, Canada, South America, Greece, England, Scotland, and many more.  The line is also now carried in the Macy’s flagship store in Manhattan, among many other upscale boutiques and retailers across the US.

Hats off to designer Mina Hassan for forging the line ahead despite the current economic times.  It is truly a testament to the fabulousness of her work that she’s been able to expand not only locally, but at a global level.  Aside from being featured in numerous mags, MINU Jewels has also been used in fashion shoots and advertising campaigns.   Mina herself has made an appearance on a national TV show.  A whole lot has certainly happened in a year.

Continuing on the tradition of creating handmade jewelry with semi-precious stones, silver, and 14k gold-filled, we received 3 pieces from the line’s Spring Collection – the White Agate Wrap Bracelet, the Faceted White Agate Necklace, and the Turquoise Multi Chain Earring.

The bracelet is blue suede with white agate and pyrite cubes.  It retails for $60.  The necklace is made with 14k gold-filled chain and brass with faceted white agate and Egyptian turquoise.  It retails for $125.  The earring is a multi brass chain with turquoise stones.  It retails for $88.

To start with, let’s talk about the necklace.  If you can only buy one piece of jewelry for the spring/summer season, you must absolutely get this one.  It is to-die-for!  The faceted white agate pieces are large and oh… what a statement they make along with the turqoise beads and the stacked chains that drape beautifully.  It never fails for me to get compliments whenever I wear this piece.  So much so that I find myself dressing around it.  It’s always a sign you have fab jewelry when you start with it and then figure out what to wear around it.  It’s a definite designer piece, it screams stylish – chic, unique, and oh so fabulous.

I can go on forever but we don’t have all day so let’s move on to the bracelet.  Another winner.  What’s cool about this piece is that it doubles as a choker.  That’s a 2fer and you can’t beat that.  White agate is now my hands-down favorite for the spring/summer, I can’t get enough of it.  The touch of pyrite cubes is modish and makes this trendy piece even more of a standout.

Last but certainly not the least is the turquoise earrings.  With the multi brass chains, this piece has great movement.  It’s also surprisingly light on the ears and with turquoise being hot this season, this piece is a must-have.  There’s an elegance about this earring, an air of understated luxury, a whisper of spring that says… buy me.
