Handcrafting jewelry reflects the creative vision of Lauren Marie Hadley, a jewelry artisan located in Northern New Jersey. Lauren creates unique, dramatic, upscale jewelry with a passion, scouring the world in search of superior materials that are the absolute best available.
Jewelry Creations by MarieMarie is her line of handmade, hand-formed jewelry using sterling, fine silver, 14k goldfill metals, and the highest grade semi-precious gemstones. Her work has been published six times in BeadStyle magazine and two of her designs will be featured in an upcoming book.
At times, vintage components are also incorporated into Lauren’s designs. Although they may not consist of superior materials, she utilizes them because their character supersedes her desire to exclusively use finer materials.
Her inspiration comes from the contour, texture, and color of the materials she uses. Great care and time are taken to ensure that each piece is made well.
A devout practicing Catholic, Lauren creates Catholic-themed jewelry as well. She shares her home with Fred, her amazing polydactyl cat.
We received three pieces from Lauren’s current collection. The first piece is a Catholic-themed bracelet, a Swarovski Crystal and Golden Brass Rosary Bracelet with Wrapped Cross which retails for $48. The second piece is a Step-faceted Rock Crystal Quartz Two-Toned Sterling Silver and Vermeil Gold Earrings which retails for $74. The third piece is a Golden Domed and Textured Oval Disk Earrings with Swarovski Crystals which retails for $35.
These pieces are to-die-for! The handcrafting is exceptional and the quality, top-notch.
First, the bracelet – made of crystal beads with a dangling brass cross, it’s a fashion accessory and a rosary all in one. The wrapped cross has a very innate, down-to-earth feel to it. It gives me a sense of safety, wearing it around my wrist. The crystal beads are sparkly and reflective of all that’s around it, a classic piece that speaks of simplicity and elegance.
Second, the golden domed earrings – made of hand-formed and textured golden brass disks with clear and copper Swarovski crystals wire-wrapped by hand to dangle. These earrings make an undeniable fashion statement that is totally effortless. The length is perfect – not too long to be too bold, and not too short to be unnoticed. I love wearing these babies with a little black dress, gives just the right amount of sexy mixed in with mystery.
Third, the vermeil earrings – made of step-faceted rock crystal quartz with sterling silver hammered rings and vermeil beads. These earrings, I can literally wear with anything. The silver, gold, and crystal combination makes it go with any color ensemble. I love wearing it with jeans, it has a casualness about it that is understated. Yet it also has a luxurious and classy feel that dresses up the simplest of outfits.
