Morgane Portfolio by Samantha Grace Designs
At the age of five, Sonja Miller was already sewing on her mother’s old sewing machine. While growing up, she sewed many of her craft projects and even designed and made her own prom dress. Fast forward many years later when she was President of a packaging firm, Sonja longed for a creative outlet that is very different from the day to day activities of her job. That longing ultimately launched Samantha Grace Designs.
A Nederlander, her Dutch roots and European education propelled her to create an eclectic line of handbags inspired by her daughters, two fiery redheads, using fun and colorful fabrics and ribbons for the little diva in all of us.
Her collection includes everyday bags, evening bags, business bags, and beach bags. She recently expanded her collection into flirty and fashionable aprons using both traditional and funky fabrics. Her line of aprons, called Apronette, will soon include matching laminated table cloths using colorful fabrics, embroidered and bordered kitchen towels, oven mitts and potholders.
We received the Morgane Portfolio in Moss from their Business Bag collection. It retails for $159 but is currently on sale for $143.10.
The portfolio is beautifully ribbon weaved. It is made of a solid flame grosgrain and lined with a dupioni silk in a zebra pattern. It has an interior pocket and a removable reinforced bottom. It measures 11″ x 13 ½” x 2″.
The first thing I tried when I first received the portfolio is to slide my laptop in, to see if it fits, and it did! Not only does it fit, there’s even space for paperwork. What a fashionable way to carry my laptop and business docs.
Every detail was carefully considered in the creation of this portfolio. It is rare enough to find an attractive portfolio, let alone a portfolio with such a striking interior. The zebra lining is so gorgeous that I get oohs and aahs every time I open it to retrieve something.
This is perfect when you need to bring your notebook to a business meeting but you don’t want to haul your big, bulky, ugly computer case along with you. It’s large enough to carry your laptop, your docs, pens, and business cards (interior pocket). So, you get to travel light and look totally fabulous doing it.
If you’re in the hunt for a job, this portfolio is an ideal companion to an interview. You can stuff your resume, phone, keys and wallet in it and feel confident that you will exude professionalism with a tinge of flair.
If you’re meeting with a client and you need to bring samples of your work, or if you have contracts that need to be signed, this portfolio is just what you need to keep your materials stylishly organized. Not only will you be asked for your business card, you will also be asked where you got your chic portfolio from.
So, if you’re a smart, chic, hip woman who’s always on the run, don’t get caught without this portfolio. Wear it with this sharp notch collar jacket by To The Max! paired with its coordinating pencil skirt and go rule the day!
